The VIKING Mini Slide system, VEMS, consists of a slide with a length from 2.8 meters to 5 meters, 100 persons liferaft and 2 bowsing winches. The system is packed into a container and stowed on a rack by means of lashing strap.
The slide is connected and packed into the liferaft. Additional liferafts can be positioned near to the VEMS system and released by means of a remote release system. A connection line ensures connection between additional liferafts and the inflated VEMS system. The system is available for long international voyage (A-pack), short international voyage (B-pack) and voyage within protected waters.
Few crew and minimal specialized training required
The system is activated by pulling the slip-hook or by means of the remote release
system. The liferaft container falls into the water and the bowsing of the system starts
immediately. During bowsing the inflation of the liferaft starts and continuously the
bowsing of the system proceeds until the bowsing lines are pulled out of the splittubes.
