Purpose

This course is designed to get you familiar with conventional lifeboat systems on cargo vessels and to increase your overall understanding of it. Aim of this course is to guide you through all the necessary checks and procedures you need to follow in order to complete a drill in the safest and most efficient way.

The course is conducted as e-learning.

Content

Upon completion of the course, the participant will be familiar with the launching appliance and the release mechanism of a conventional lifeboat system in order to be able to tell between safe and unsafe procedures during drills, which procedures and actions may involve unnecessary risk and what is his role prior, during and after a successful lifeboat drill.

Target group

All crew members with onboard duties during a lifeboat drill.
